This is no yaoi panel! For all you guys who love to see the girls get cosy then you’ve come to the right place! I’ll be going into my knowledge of the yuri spectrum and talking/discussing with you guys on the subject! They’ll be some videos and pictures to go along with my talking! Final Fantasy Panel

We’ll be looking into the history of the Final Fantasy games, and just having general FF chat. We have also got a quiz relating to all the final fantasy games . There will be a prize for first place (or winning team) and a second prize from Callum for a second question he’s put in! There will be final fantasy music played throughout the panel while we talk our FFbuttsoff!

Saturday night party- live MikuUk concert (all ages)

MikuUk will be holding a live concert at Passion in the Sunderland city centre. The concert time will be 7 – 9.30pm and doors open at 6.30pm. Tickets are limited to 300 maximum. Tickets are available at the MikuUk table at SunnyCon. Tickets are on a first come first served basis and are ONLY available to SunnyCon ticket holders. Tickets are limited to 1 per person. Taking Cosplay to a Competitive Level

So you might have heard about Sunnycon's cosplay competition- but what about other competitions in the UK? Yuka has represented the UK in two cosplay competitions and will be talking about the different competitions that run in the UK, and will be giving preparation tips and advice on how to stand out to the judges.

Iaido Demonstration

SunnyCon is proud to bring you a demonstration in Iaido the Japanese martial art of the sword. You will be treated to a controlled demonstration from a team representing the bukodan dojo from the region who will demonstrate forms of Kata and Swordplay related to Iaido.

Kendo Demonstration

SunnyCon are pleased to welcome back the Northumbria University Kendo club who will be giving another demonstration in the martial art of kendo. With hi tempo demonstrations you to can take part and get a feel for what kendo is truly about.

Introduction to Japanese street fashions

Iasha will be giving an introduction workshop which will allow attendees to learn about all the different Japanese street fashions, including Gyaru, Mori girl, visual Kei, Lolita & Fairy Kei. Including a presentation & magazines.

Mecha Suits and Armour.

This is a panel with a focus on creating and building mech suits and armoured cosplays. You will be treated to a Q&A with the mech cosplayers from Gilgamesh pro who will be doing a talk on all aspects of creating & making mech suits as well armour & making it simple for even the most amateur of cosplayers. Come along and you can also ask for advice and hints on making your own suits and armour.

Transforma-Friend Competition!

Do you love Lolita fashion? This is a chance for you to try something new and also get non-lolita friends more involved with the fashion you love. Bring a friend long to see the judges then you have a limited time to go off and transform your friend into a Lolita (make-up, outfit ect.) Photos of before and after will be taken by the judge Iasha who will be picking out the best transformations and prizes will be awarded! (Changing rooms will be available)

Japanese Myth and Legend in Anime.

The worlds of anime and Japanese myth and legend are usually tightly woven together in this panel Tucky will discuss this in great detail. This panel will contain discussion of the legends of Japanese history which includes mythical monsters and legendary objects and what influence they have had in modern day anime and manga.

Alice in Sunderland

Come and join in on a fun adventure finding clues and guessing riddles on a treasure hunt! This fun treasure hunt will be run by Iasha.

Prop Building 101

A Q&A panel hosted by Gilgamesh Arms one of the UK’s leading suppliers of bespoke cosplay props and weapons. If you have any questions about making and maintaining weapons, props and other cosplay accessories Gilgamesh will be able to help you with every step in the process whether it is using high quality expensive materials or a low budget money saving option Gilgamesh will be able to help. Also in this panel will be sneak previews of future and on-going weapon development at the Gilgamesh store.

Accessory Workshop

Iasha will be running a fabulous workshop where all can come a long and join in. If you love cutesy things this is the place to be. For all your tips and to join in making hair bows, hair clips, hair flowers come along! Suitable for all cute fashions!

Koreaboo Dance!

Move over J-Pop, because the dawn of K-Pop has arrived! Come and share in the love for this fantastic style of music and dance from Korea that is taking the Otaku community by storm! Even if you're new to the sensation, come along just to check it out and see what all the hype is about (because it's certainly deserved!) Yuki and Cinnamon will be teaching 2-3 popular K-Pop chorus dances (or as many as we can fit in an hour!) from a few of Korea's biggest artists.

Interiors for frilly girls

Making yourself look like a princess is easy enough! But sometimes you feel you want to step up your kawaii factor. A cute bedroom is the perfect combination with a cute fashion like Gyaru or Lolita fashion. Iasha will be teaching you an a-z of making the most of your bedroom or home.

Visual Tour of the Airship V.i.S

Marvel! Wonder! Excitement! Despite what you may think, life on an airship can be dull at times; bored with the prescribed calesthenics the Crew of the V.i.S. set to work finding a better way to keep themselves in shape... Come watch, admire, and even join in as The Commodore and Crew of the V.i.S. put on a visual tour of the airship they call home. Dazzling feats of acrobalance, human pyramids, and experiments with electronical gadgets, all brought to you by the good people responsible for the V.i.S. Emporium.

Nail art workshop

Come & glam out with Iasha. Japanese fashions such as Gyaru fashion and Lolita fashion often feature stunning over-the top creative nails to go with their beautiful outfits. Attendees will have the chance to decorate their nails using polish, create effects, and doll out with gems, hearts and glitter!

Dance Tutorial

Tickelkitten and BonBon the loli diva of the north east present a dance tutorial.

They will teach you how to stop those embarrassing moments where your wig or accessories come off; what materials to use when designing a costume which you will be using during a dance and teaching you po pi po (One of most popular Vocaloid songs. They will also give live performances of dances to show they can be done if you try.  Feel free to ask any questions you have also, they are both friendly and don't bite....often

Skit Panel

SKITS! We will be teaching you all the tricks and tips to making a skit! We’ll have a bunch of videos and ideas to show you and we have a small skit to do in front of you guys to show you how a skit works and how we create them. We shall also be talking to you guys about cmv’s and how we do them as they are related to skits in some sense.

Presented to you by NEStuck. Grab your Matesprite (or your kismesis, if you're so caliginously inclined) and come along to our all singing, all dancing production of the highest quality (Disclaimed: Boondollar refunds not given if you disagree). Over the hour we will explore what we think makes the Homestuck community one of the greatest fandoms to grace the internet, as well as inform and inspire those dragged along by friends just what IS homestuck, and why you should love it as much as we do. We'll entertain you with songs, strife’s and skits before ending the panel with a lengthy in character Q&A panel where you can ask your favourite characters ANY question you so desire. But be warned, should your question be deemed unworthy or unsuitable, you may face the wrath of the highest authority itself: THE LAW.....

Yaoi panel 16+

The Yaoi panel will be a tamer 16+. It will be more about what yaoi is including different types and some shounen- ai images. Discussion will include slightly suggestive images nothing too graphic.

Dance Tutorial

In this dance panel you will be shown some dances including PonPonPon and a possible live performance at the end if there is time. After showing clips and offering advice on how you should fix on wigs & accessories safely so you don't lose them when performing as well as the best fabrics to use for costumes to dance in; we'll be open to question about anything. From learning a dance, to choreographing and tips on how to choose music. You don't even need experience! If you need help with a dance move maybe you can learn it here - just ask.
